Ballet Classes

Beginner Ballet 1

Ages 3-4

A first year, fundamental ballet class. In a fun and encouraging environment, students explore musicality, rhythm, creativity, and movement through space. This class introduces age-appropriate stretching, basic strengthening, balance, motor skill development, and coordination.

Girls: Light pink leotard (tank, spaghetti strap or cap sleeve, no long-sleeve leotards), pink tights, pink ballet shoes, hair in a bun. Please do not have skirts attached to the leotards, pull-on skirts are welcome.

Boys: White fitted T-shirt, black shorts, white or black socks, black ballet shoes, hair away from your face.

Beginner Ballet 2

Ages 5-6

A fundamental ballet class that builds a solid foundation for young dancers. It introduces classical ballet vocabulary, emphasizes musicality, and urges individual creative expression in an innovative, fun and easy to learn manner.

Girls: Light blue (periwinkle) leotard (tank, spaghetti strap or cap sleeve, no long-sleeve leotards), pink tights, pink ballet shoes, hair in a bun. Please do not have skirts attached to the leotards, pull-on skirts are welcome.

Boys: White fitted T-shirt, black shorts, white or black socks, black ballet shoes, hair away from your face.

Beginner Ballet 3

Ages 7-11

A fundamental ballet class that builds a solid foundation for young dancers. It introduces classical ballet vocabulary, emphasizes musicality, and urges individual creative expression in an innovative, fun and easy to learn manner.

Girls: Light purple (Lavender) leotard (tank, spaghetti strap or cap sleeve, no long-sleeve leotards), pink tights, pink ballet shoes, hair in a bun. Please do not have skirts attached to the leotards, pull-on skirts are welcome.

Boys: White fitted T-shirt, black shorts, white or black socks, black ballet shoes, hair away from your face.

Ballet 4

This class is for students that are ages 8+ that have completed 1 year of Beg Ballet 3 or new-to-RBT students who have taken 1 year of ballet.

Students in Ballet 4 are recommended to take 2 ballet technique classes/wk held on Wed/Fri.

Girls: Please wear a black leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes, with your hair in a bun. Warm-ups and skirts are at the discretion of the teacher.

Boys: Please wear a white fitted shirt, black ballet shoes, black tights or black shorts with white or black socks, with your hair away from your face.

Ballet 5

Students in Ballet 5 are recommended to take 3 total ballet classes/wk (2 ballet technique classes held on Mon/Fri and 1 Pointe Prep/Beg Pointe on Wed). This class is by placement.

Girls: Please wear a black leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes, with your hair in a bun. Warm-ups and skirts are at the discretion of the teacher.

Boys: Please wear black tights, a white fitted shirt, and black ballet shoes, with your hair away from your face.

Ballet 6

Students in Ballet 6 are recommended to take 4 total ballet classes/wk (3 ballet technique classes held on Mon/Fri/Sat and 1 Int Pointe on Wed). This class is by placement.

Girls: Please wear a black leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes, with your hair in a bun. Warm-ups and skirts are at the discretion of the teacher.

Boys: Please wear black tights, a white fitted shirt, and black ballet shoes, with your hair away from your face.

Ballet 7

Students in Ballet 7 are recommended to take 5 total ballet classes/wk (4 ballet technique classes held on Mon/Wed/Thurs/Sat and 1 Adv Pointe on Tues). This class is by placement.

Girls: Please wear a black leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes, with your hair in a bun. Warm-ups and skirts are at the discretion of the teacher.

Boys: Please wear black tights, a white fitted shirt, and black ballet shoes, with your hair away from your face.

Adult Ballet

A Beg/Int level class for anyone 15 years and over looking to begin ballet or continue their dancing.

Attire: Leotard and tights or anything tight-fitting and comfortable, ballet shoes or socks, hair up away from face.
